How accurate is the kcal consumption?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I admit that I am a pretty big guy, I am 206cm (6'9'') and about 115kg (250lbs), but my fitbit inspire hr has told me for 4 days in a row now that I burn 4.2k+ calories (admittedly I did heavy free weight workouts) per day which I feel is an awful lot. If I use online tdee calculators they seem to give me 3500~range.

Is it really accurate?

@Froggorino A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

The caloric consumption is calculated by using your personal information (age, height, weight, etc.) and your heart rate data from your activities. If you don't believe this data to be correct you can suggest an improvement or change in our Feature suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exists so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it. You can read more about the BMR calculation here.

Let me know how it goes.
