How do I download/export my data with no gear icon?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have an Inspire HR and want to download my data so that I can plot heart rate and sleep data on the same graph.  But the instructions I've found for downloading data start with something called a "gear icon" (with no link to explain what that is or where to find it, just a cutsey picture/icon that I don't have).

I'm trying to download the data to my computer (Windows 10), not a phone.  Is that why I don't have a gear icon?  How do I get a gear icon?  More importantly, how do I export my data into Excel so I can use it?

Why would anyone want charts of only one variable at a time?  That's just weird that two variables (steps and heart rate, sleep and heart rate) can't be plotted together.

Looking for the gear icon, are you on the fitbit.com dashboard? i.e. in a web browser, not phone app or Windows 10 app?  If so and still don't see gear icon, might have to scroll right to see it at top right.

I have no idea.  To get started, I downloaded what I was told to download, and ended up with something on my laptop that says it's Fitbit (and that eventually, after a nasty struggle, will sync with my Inspire HR).  When I open it on my laptop, there is something in the upper left corner that says Dashboard, so I naively took that to be the Dashboard.  Is there another somewhere?  Are there directions for any of this?  A search for "gear icon" didn't help at all.

Thank you for helping.  I deeply regret buying one of these, and the worst part is that I also bought one for my mother, who needs this nightmare even less than I do.

I don't know about the mobile version, but on a PC if you are looking at this page, at the top right, it says 'Dashboard', without having to download anything extra.  Just click on that.
