I have looked for friends under "Contacts" and "Facebook" but I just got a notification (and e-mail) asking to accept a friend request from someone I do not know. How do I ignore the request? Or better yet, block them?

Hi @BJLCozumel - Welcome to the forums! When you open the friend request, look at the top, right corner and tap on the three dots. One of the options that will appear is Block User. Tap that and confirm your choice. That person will not be allowed to contact you again. I use this feature for people I don’t know and people who have no activity.

Thank you so much for the answer. I was afraid to click on it thinking it would connect right away. This worked great to "block" him.
I am curious though as to how he found me in the first place. He is not in my "contacts" or "Facebook" list as a friend with a Fitbit.

If you post anything in any groups on the Fitbit app, everyone in that particular group can see you and send you friends request. I want to find a way to make it where NOBODY can send me a friend request, but I guess I'm SOL 😒 I hope my answer helps

I’ve never posted in a group, however I joined a few that I’ve never even gone back to read stuff. So far, 100% of the requests have come from ppl who have something to sell: a product, an exercise routine, a diet… I think they join the groups to fish for names, just like email hackers do. There should be an option to not allow someone to contact me unless they are a friend of a friend, at the very least. (like I have on FB)
