Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @DANNNYBAMF.
Thank you for joining the thread and sharing your input. I would like to confirm that Inspire HR can't be turned off. For more information, see How do I turn off my Fitbit device? I was able to see that you have already contacted our Support team regarding this and that they were able to assist you. Thank you for your time and efforts.
See you around.

Welcome to the forums!
May I ask why you want to turn it off?

Scroll to setting on the watch scroll down to About, tap it and scroll down to shut off
The manual is here as well

On my fitbit Inspire HR there is no 'About' under settings. There is 'Device Info', but there is no option to turn the device off.
Not sure why the information provided is incorrect, nor why it received a vote? Perhaps the menu options have been changed in a recent firmware update?
Also the provided user manual link doesn't mention anything about scrolling to About, tapping and scrolling to shut off either.

I have the same issue.
I also have no shut down options in the settings screen. I think I previously did, but haven't tried to shut down in awhile.

I also want to know. I can't wear this while I sleep. It keeps me up. But I don't want it recording those bogus 100+ heart rates and the green lite comes on. What about in the shower. I'm told it's not waterproof.

I wanted to shut it off to put on a screen saver because it is a wet install and the directions say to turn it off. I scrolled down, but the response given was not correct, there is no option to shut off under settings. I read through the manual and it does not address shutting down. I am currently wearing it until it runs out of battery power so that I can put on the screen saver, but there should be a way to shut it down. Is there?

Facing the same issue.. not able to turn it off

I looked in the manual that someone posted.. was for a different issue but in solving it, one needed to shut off the unit. You must put it on the charging cord and then hold that side button for ‘5’ seconds.. or so. Will shut off then and give you a smiley face...
worked for me!!
i was able to restart mine and it reset itself, fixing my issue
hope this helps

I tried connecting it to it's charger and pressing the button and saw the smiley face....still didn't shut down. No vibrating and turning off, just smiley face. I got a new Versa 2 and wanted to turn my old Inspire HR off. Any suggestions?

I had exactly the same experience.

Same problem as everyone else. I got a charge 4 and need to turn off the hr to store for a backup. Nothing suggested here works and no mention of shutting it off in that manual. Seriously, shutting off a device shouldn't be impossible and certainly not so convoluted.

There is no "About."
There is nothing in the manual about shutting down/turning off. Only instructions for erasing data or restarting.

this answer is WRONG! There is no "about" setting on an inspire......this info seems to be for a fitbit Sense, but WILL NOT work for an inspire. Does anyone have a correct answer? The community legend doesn't seem to know.....
I'm pretty sure that hitting it very hard with a hammer will work, but you won't be able to turn it on again.....
I just had an online conversation with a help desk person....the answer from them is that an Inspire cannot be turned off...you just have to wait until the battery dies......I replied I thought that was a dumb design...so I guess I;ll be letting my battery die. The so-called best answer should be removed, as it isn't best, or even correct...sorry WendyB, nothing personal, but your answer doesn't apply here....the best answer is that you CAN'T turn it off....
