How to Turn off Heart Zone notification?

When I start the Interval Run on the Exercise menu on the device, I keep getting heart Zone notifications during exercise. How do I turn off the notification on the device? It's confusing to use since the vibration for reaching each Heart Zone has a similar buzz for when it's telling my to "move" or "rest".

Oh it’s the settings app on the Fitbit NOT on the phone...

@SunsetRunner It's nice to see you in the Fitbit Community! Thank you for getting in touch about this.

I totally understand that the vibrations could be confusing due to the workout you're doing. To turn off heart zone notifications please go into your Settings app on your Fitbit device > find the Heart Zone notifications and turn them off. Learn more about it by checking this article: What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?

I'll be around if you have any additional questions!

This isn’t working for me... I can’t find Heart Zones... it’s not in my setting any where! The notifications drove me crazy during my work out today and I need to turn them off!

By turning off the Heart Rate option in the Ionic settings, does that also stop the Fitbit ionic from monitoring your heart rate throughout the day? I just want my watch to stop it buzzing while I am working out and it appears to be connected to heart rate change. This is a ‘new’ replacement Ionic and this buzzing never happened with my old one...

I don't think it will stop the fitbit from monitoring your heart rate throughout the day. It just turns off the notifications during workout.

@SunsetRunner Thank you for your input.

@elmesd Hi there. Thank you for the details mentioned.

By turning off the Active Zone Minutes notifications, all the weekly notifications will be disabled. However, your watch/tracker will continue tracking your heart rate. Learn more about it by checking this article What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

Turned mine off in the settings on the fitbit itself and still no change , they still constantly alert all the time , very annoying…. Thus far not liking the charge 4 at all for this

@BigRez Welcome back to the Fitbit Community.

I see where your disappointment is coming from. Please confirm that this procedure was followed to turn them off:

  1. On Charge 4, open the Exercise app

and swipe to find an exercise.
  2. Swipe up on the arrow, and tap Heart Rate Zone Notifications.

If you'd like to stop receiving notifications while working out, try turning off DND on Charge 4

Hope this helps.

I have followed the steps to turn off the Heart Zone Notifications on the fitness tracker (in my case, a Luxe). I have also gone into each Exercise and ensured the Heart Zone Notifications for each of those was turned off.

It seemed to work, but every few times while I am out walking (without even having "started" a walk exercise on the device), my Luxe buzzes me with congratulatory notifications that I have been earning Heart Zone points.

Is there still another secret setting I should be looking at to turn off ALL heart zone notifications?

I would like to be notified when I hit my steps target. I would like to be notified by linkages to my Google Home app (and it does this well). I would like to be notified for Text Messages and Phone Calls to my phone (and it does this well). I do not want ANY other notifications. How can I ensure this?

For my question from a year ago, there are additional settings within the phone app that might also apply. In the phone app, I tap the avatar icon in the upper left corner to get to Settings: Activity & Wellness. For each of the Daily Activity, Exercise, and Heart Settings settings I set the "goals" to some very very large values, theory being that if I dont' want a notification congratulating me on hitting my goal, I should never reach my goal, eh?

I'll give that a shot, at any rate.
