How to change steps goal & minutes for a walk

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I get SO frustrated that it's so difficult to figure out how to change my daily steps goal and, the other day, I found that I can change when the time to count as a walk.  Can't find it again and want to change it to 5 minutes.  WHY can't the HELP areas be more user friendly so that you can find out this info? I have an Inspire HR and love it but wish it was easier to figure out.

Assuming you are using phone app, to change daily step goal, from the 'Today' screen, tap profile pic at top left to get to 'Account' page, then down to GOALS > Activity to set any daily activity goals.

For minimum time for auto-recognized walk to count as an exercise session, on 'Today' page, tap Exercise tile, then the gear icon near top right to see and adjust minimum time needed for each activity to count as an exercise session.  However, you cannot set that time to less than 10 minutes.

Another way to get any length of time to count as exercise, is to use the Exercise App on your wrist. From main clock screen, scroll up (swipe down) to see 'Exercise' and tap that.  Any exercise of any time length recorded by the Exercise App counts as an exercise session.

Unfortunately, my Inspire HR phone app does not have a GOALS on the 'Account' page.  You have to go to 'Activity & Wellness' in the Settings section, then 'Daily Activity,' then click on 'Steps' to change the goal.  Extremely counterintuitive.  This interface is inexcusably difficult, so much worse than the Alta.  As a software developer, I understand the urge to add more bells & whistles, but this is ridiculously complex & needs to be fixed.  Ditto with tracking exercise--impossible to find, then impossible to stop.  Horrible.
