How to turn off Connected GPS Inspire HR

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Somehow when I was replacing the wristband my Inspire HR went to "Connected GPS" mode.  On my phone it says "Connected GPS is running" and bluetooth is disconnected.  It appears to be recording an exercise session.  How do I shut this off?  I want it back to normal mode.

@twall-architect   I moved your post to the Other Inspire Tracker forum, a better fit.  I'm sorry, I never used this tracker, so I can't give you a "I know this will work for you" answer.  But it sounds like you started the Exercise app while changing the band.  But pp 26-29 of the Inspire HR manual have the instructions for the Exercise app.

Not sure how the Charge HR label got on your post.  The Charge HR is a very old model.  You mention Inspire HR in you other posts.

I have tried rebooting, but the button is marginal at best, doesn't seem to work most of the time, so I'm at a loss.

Regarding the Charge HR....it wouldn't let me post without a "label" and the options didn't include Inspire HR.

Hi @twall-architect. It's nice to see you around in the community.

Thanks for sharing your inquiry about your Inspire HR. In order to turn off Connected GPS on your Fitbit, please:

  1. Press the button to turn on the Inspire HR display
  2. Swipe down until you find the option Settings
  3. Tap on settings and look for the option Connected GPS and turn it off.

Thanks @LZeeW for your help.

Thanks.  When I turn on the screen and scroll through I get:

  • Time (clock)
  • recording time
  • goals
  • miles
  • pace
  • pace avg
  • fat burn
  • calories
  • steps

None of those appear to be "Settings" and none of them have options.

Thanks for your feedback. Here are some instructions:

  1. The home screen is the clock.
  2. Swipe down to scroll through the apps on Inspire HR. Tap an app to open it.
  3. Swipe up to see your daily stats.

Open the Settings app and tap a setting to adjust it. Swipe up to see the full list
of settings.

Like I said it's stuck in an exercise app.  It's not at the usual clock home screen.  The button doesn't turn on the screen so I have to tap it open and only the things I see are the list I posted.  It's been recording for five days.  There is no option to stop or close the app which is odd, and kind of stupid.

It appears my only option is to let the battery die so it shuts off and then hopefully when its recharged will reboot into normal mode.

Thanks for the feedback @twall-architect.

Thanks for the attempts to fix the inconvenience.

To let the battery die is a good idea. You can also do a restart following these steps:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  3. Press and hold the button or buttons on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
