How to turn off GPS when no needed it - Inspire HR

I use the Interval Timer exercise function exclusively to track my toning workouts (such as ab, leg, and glute workouts) in my home. However, the app insists on connecting to GPS before I can start the interval timer, and will always produce a "blank map" upon completion. My Charge 2 had the ability to only opt in to GPS for the exercises I wanted to connect to GPS; please consider this as an option on Inspire HR! I only want GPS on my outdoor distance activities (Walking/Biking/Hiking).

My phone has kept telling me my GPS was running.  I turned it off.  Why would I need it running?

Mine is doing the same thing. The watch says its off. The push notification remains on. Drains phone quickly.

Added the only way to stop it is to turn off my location, which then doesnt allow the device to sync. 😕

Hi, I found if you go into your settings and scroll down to the Fitbit, if you click on it you can select it to ask you to use GPS. So when you go to track your walk it asks to use GPS so isn’t automatically connected on GPS all the time
