I don't wear to bed, but calories burned are on. Doesn't start at zero on new day (?)

I dont wear my Fitbit to bed, but when I put it on in the morning, the calories are not at zero(?). That isn't accurate.  Please let me know of I need to do something to have it read accurately.

That is accurate.  And calories do start at zero at midnight.

 Fitbit includes your BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories that you are always burning just by being alive.  These are always credited, even when you are not wearing the tracker.
