Inaccurate calories recorded during a swim

  • I completed a 33 minute swim yesterday. It recorded a distance of 1,725m but says the calories burned are only 58! This activity usually records around 200 calories. Why would this have happened? I can't contact anyone to speak to about it at Fitbit.

Welcome to the forums @Zoeadelaide.

Thank you for taking the time to share the information regarding this difficulty experienced with Inspire 2.

The first thing you should check is whether the tracker is reading your heart rate correctly.

Your BMR is based on the physical data you entered in to your Fitbit account (height, weight, sex, and age) and accounts for at least half the calories you burn in a day. Please, check if that information is correct in the Fitbit app: How do I change the units of measurement in my Fitbit account?

All of the info is correct and the tracker is reading my heart rate correctly at all other times.

I haven't heard back from you. I once again completed the same swim and have only 50 calories shown. This is affecting my health fund points.

As previously said, all info is correct and when I walk or run, the calories are correct.

Please explain what this could be.

The support from Fitbit is none existant! With the move to Google, I think you will lose alot of customers.. You will certainly be losing me!
