Inaccurate energy/calorie counts?

How reliable are the energy/calorie counts on these devices? (I'm new to it.) Mine consistently records more energy/calories burned on a 30 minute leisurely walk than almost anything else I do for the same time, which includes swimming, biking and occasional workouts that are much harder for me. Anyone know what these counts are based on?

@Dg245 Thanks for joining us!

Let me help you with your caloric burn calculation. The tracker will use your heart rate and personal information (age, weight, height) which is known as BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). If you wish you can manually log your activities which will give you the option to enter the calories you believe you burned for said activity. You could use an online calculator to get an idea of this data. Remember that swimming won't activate the heart rate so this may affect the caloric burn calculation for it.

Let me know how it goes.
