Inaccurate step count and elliptical not showing but interval training is

I have 2 issues on my inspire hr. Since last week when I sync the app shows a much higher and accurate step count than the device.   I have removed it from Bluetooth, re paired it, shut down pretty much done everything suggested in the forums nothing works. At the same time when I exercise the option for elliptical is missing and run and interval training is now shown on the device.  I have gone into the app and confirmed elliptical is on and the others are not. I have deleted eleptical, shut down, added it back, synced still not on the device but the other two are.  Any suggestions would be appreciated

Are you talking about daily total or during a specific exercise session?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Daily total. Today my device shows 5630, app shows 13760
