Incorrectly reporting "Swim"?

Ok, this is going to sound hilarious. I would think it hilarious if it didn't skew my data.

How can I prevent my Fitbit from thinking I'm swimming when I'm actually doing dishes??

I figure there's probably a sensor that is triggered by the occasional submersion, but I really don't swim as often as Fitbit thinks I do!

Any suggestions as to how I stop that?

Hi @Nic_ It wont be submersion causing the misidentification as there is no submersion sensor. It must be the rythmic way you move your arms I think. Try restarting the Inspire several times and see if it does it again. It sounds like a weird glitch that restarts might fix.

Hi,

I get this all the time and it drives me nuts because as you say is skews your data for the day.

You can switch off the swimming auto recognition in the exercises but I have done that and it still happens all the time.

I have had it switch to swimming mode normally while out walking but also when moving my shopping basket to bagging area while shopping...

I have tried to rest the device and done a factory reset but it still keeps on happening.

Not sure there is anything you can do!

Same! Today after I finished folding laundry Fitbit told me it registered that I had gone for a 23-minute swim 🤔
