Inspire 2 Battery has abruptly ceased to hold a charge

Greetings.  I have owned this for exactly 17 months.  Until yesterday, it was holding a charge for 10 days.  Yesterday I received an email that it needed to be charged (!) and fully charged it.  Less than 24 hours, it was drained to less than 9% charge.  No, I have not changed any settings.  I have the light on the dim setting.  I do not get notifications on the device.  I do not have it set to turn on when I turn my wrist.  As far as I can tell, none of the suggestions on this page are applicable to me.  As I said, it used to last for 10 days, I changed NOTHING, and now it needs to be recharged in less than 24 hours.

Is this the expected length of service for this device?  If so, it should be stated up front that this thing is basically disposable.
