Inspire 2 Black Screen & Unresponsive

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My son’s Fitbit inspire 2 is only 18 months old and failing to show anything on the screen. I’ve tried many of the different steps covered throughout this forum but nothing works. It’s charged and has the green light on the underside, but I get nothing on the screen or any vibrations when holding the side. Following the steps given to other users, my phone is no longer connected but on the last sync it was fully updated, as screen doesn’t work I can reconnect.

He’s about the start secondary school and now has no watch to wear which he’s terribly upset about.

This is now the second Fitbit which has “bricked” like this in our household outside of the 1 year warranty but inside 2 years of age. This is unacceptable for such a product and I am incredibly frustrated because of it.

Welcome to the forums @FBFubar.

Thank you for taking the time to share all this information regarding your Inspire 2. Sorry to know that you didn't get it solved after performing some troubleshooting steps.

I'd ask you to confirm that you tried the steps in the following order:

  • Unpair your Inspire 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Inspire 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Inspire 2.

If you can't get started with your device, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

I'm having the same issue with my Inspire HR. I just followed the above steps (according to the app the inspire was at 54% battery before I unpaired), now the app can't find the inspire (though it's showing on my Bluetooth fine).

Any other suggestions please?
