I have a new Fitbit Inspire 2. Both my new Fitbit and my old Fitbit Flex lose steps and calories burned. At first I thought it was my Fitbit Flex because it was old, but it continues with my new Fitbit Inspire. I will look at it one moment and see a certain amount of steps and look at it the next moment and I will have lost steps. Sometimes I lose just a few and sometimes I lose much more. The numbers on the app match the numbers on the device.

@dmmarlowe , Nice to see you around. Thank you for your message..
Do you have MobileTrack active on your Fitbit app?
To check, please tap on your profile picture. You'll see the devices and features paired to your account.
If you see MobileTrack there, this could explain the situation.
MobileTrack is a feature to track your steps using the sensors on your phone.
if you have it active and you use your Inspire 2 or your Flex, sometimes the steps recorded by your phone, will overwrite the ones recorded by your tracker. This could explain how the steps change after your sync your Inspire 2 or Flex.
Tap on MobileTrack and remove it from the app .
Hope this helps.

@dmmarlowe , Thank you for your reply.
Unpairing/removing MobileTrack will show all the steps recorded with your Inspire 2 after syncing it with the Fitbit app.
Past recordings however will not be updated with the data that was overwritten by MobileTrack.
Hope this helps you further.

Thank you for your assistance. Obviously, the only way to know if this works as if it doesn’t work. I look forward to it working.
