Inspire 2, active zone minutes vs active minutes

I’m so disappointed that I replaced my Fitbit one with the inspire 2. I wear it in a clip because I don’t like anything on my wrist. And I just realized It doesn’t track my active minutes because they are now apparently active zone minutes and based on heart rate not steps. Wearing the device on a clip disables the HR monitor and therefor active ZONE minutes. I wish there was a way to toggle between tracking active minutes and active zone minutes.

I too am very disappointed that my new Versa 2 doesn't track active minutes. I had to replace my Blaze after 4 years but loved everything about it. Please bring back active minutes as an option for us. Please.

It's 2 years later but now I am also incredibly disappointed with not having active minutes. So not only did Fitbit discontinue the One, which was perfect for me in every way (and I've read the forums and know I am not alone), they offer this slightly less good version in a clip form but then don't let it have active minutes for people who do not want (or cannot) wear things on their wrist. I've been using a Fitbit for 10 years now but I'm looking at other companies to see if they can come close to something like what the One was. I do not know why Fitbit refuses to acknowledge that not everyone wants to wear things on their wrists, and that offering 1 option that doesn't have the same features as other products is ludicrous. So, so disappointing.

I so agree. I just replaced my FB Zip with Inspire 3. I use a clip, so active zone minutes don't show up anyway. I did discover that logging in online, instead of by phone, provides access to a dashboard, a summary that DOES include active minutes. So I can make it do what my Zip did … with several additional actions.

I haven’t seen any comments supporting active zone minutes as the single option. So, for whom is FitBit pushing it?

@EmKaye   Fitbit is a US based company and uses CDC recommendations for its activity guidelines.  The CDC no longer recognizes active minutes.  The CDC recommends 150 minutes/wk of moderate activity or 75 minutes/wk of vigorous activity or a combination of the two.  The CDC also changed the heart rate zone thresholds. Fitbit's active zone minutes correspond very closely to the CDC heart rate zones.

Except they've made one device that CAN be worn off of a wrist but then don't allow users to have similar functionality since my HR is not being gathered by the device. Then the next best thing is active minutes. It can't be that difficult to add since they've had it on other devices. It's completely frustrating.
