Inspire 2 band keeps detaching

I have an Inspire 2, about 1½ years old. I replaced the original band with a leather band because my skin broke out with the original one. After about a week of wear, the band keeps detaching from the Fitbit on one side. It seems to me that the problem is not with the band but with where the pin on the band goes into the Fitbit. I know that this problem has been discussed already, but I haven't seen any solutions. Are there any solutions other than replacing the Fitbit or carrying it in my pocket? Thanks.

@Fannysmom  yes, the frame holds the pebble, so the band will work. It's a bit clunkier than the original band, but it would allow you to use the Fitbit. There are a few different ones, so you might want to search.

Hello. I followed your instructions for changing the band. It still comes loose.

Many other people have had the same problem. My question is, did you solve it for anyone?

Hi @Fannysmom  if it's not attaching and no longer under warranty, there is a way to keep using it. Amazon sells a protective band which encompasses the pebble portion of the Inspire 2. Could be this might be an option for you - click to view the item. There are other bands, but this one had good images for you to see.

No, the problem isn’t with the watch face — it’s where the band attaches.

@Fannysmomyes, that is why the protective band cover will work for you. It takes the pebble portion, which currently can't hold the Fitbit band and replaces it with the all encompassing band. That band I linked above takes the pebble portion and lets you to continue using it when the current band just won't attach to it properly. It's the only workaround if you're out of warranty. You see the images at that link?

Thanks. I think I get it now. The Fitbit just sits in the frame?

The other problem is why I changed the band in the first place: My skin broke out with the silicone band.
