Inspire 2 battery and heart rate issues

Since about a week ago, my inspire 2 which I've had for less than 1 year is not tacking HR anymore and battery dies in about 2 days. Change was very sudden, was working fine, then out of nowhere, these issues started. It's not in clip mode, and I have tried completing resetting it as well as updating software. Any ideas appreciated.

Thank you.

@Wanzi Thanks for getting back and trying the steps I've provided above. I'm glad to hear that the battery issue seems to be solved now.

As our last resort, I'd recommend performing a factory reset on your Inspire 2. To do so, on your Fitbit device:

  1. On your Fitbit device, open the Settings app > Clear User Data.
  2. When prompted, press the screen for 3 seconds and release. When your tracker vibrates and the clock screen appears, your data is erased.

Note: On Inspire 2, deactivate Tile before you erase your Fitbit device. For instructions, see What should I do if I lose my Fitbit device?

Once the above has been done, you can now proceed to set up your Inspire 2 again by following the steps provided here How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes.

Hi there, @Wanzi. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire 2 is not tracking your heart rate and the battery is draining quickly. Thanks for trying to solve the issue prior to posting here, I understand where your concern is coming from as your Fitbit device is less than a year old. I'll be glad to continue assisting you.

As a first approach, I'd recommend trying the following steps to make sure your heart rate is working as heart rate reading is key to get your sleep data accurately:

  • Switch the Heart Rate settings from On to Off and manually sync your watch. To switch the heart rate settings on your watch, from the main screen of your watch, swipe left until you see "Settings", next swipe up until you see "Heart Rate" and switch it to Off.
  • Once it's done, manually sync your Inspire 2. To do so, open the Fitbit app, tap on the Account icon, tap on your Inspire 2's image and tap on "Sync Now"
  • Next, switch it from Off to On and manually sync your watch once again.
  • Once it's done, restart your watch once again.
  • Next, confirm that your tracker is snug on your wrist (the lights shouldn't be visible) We also recommend when you're not exercising, wear the tracker just above the wrist bone.

Also, for more detailed information, see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

Regarding the battery, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article to improve battery life in general, as this has been generally useful for other users. In addition, please confirm that you've restarted your Inspire 2 as described here How do I restart my Fitbit device?

The battery can last up to 10 days; because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary, but the battery shouldn't be draining only after a few hours.

Hope that helps.

Hello. Unfortunately this did not resolve the heart rate issue. Device still not reading heart rate. Battery issue seems to have resolved though, as it's not draining as quickly. Not sure what the issue is with the heart rate. Thank you.
