I was asked to update firmware on Tuesday, 8/16. My battery has drained multiple times a day since then. I’ve never had battery issues in the past - a full charge always lasts over a week! I am out of warranty and Fitbit isn’t doing anything to address the issue - which was the firmware update. I am very frustrated. I have owned several different Fitbit products over the last 7 years and this is unacceptable.

I just received the notification for my Inspire 2 that an update was available. My Inspire 2 currently has ver 53.20001.124.34 and I do not like updating firmware until I check to see if anyone else has had any issues. I guess I will wait and see if any one else has issues before I try to update. Wish I knew what changes were made to the new firmware.

I definitely wouldn’t update it if I were you. My battery drains within a couple of hours now. I was offered 35% off a new device, but I haven’t made a purchase yet. I’m not happy with having to buy a new one when my current one was working perfectly fine before the update.

I agree with you that you should not have to buy a new device when your watch was working ok before the update. I received a Charge 5 as a gift earlier this year but have not pulled it out of the box after seeing all the trouble with battery performance in the Charge 5 forum. I have had this Inspire 2 for a little over a year (got it at the end of July 2021) and I have been very happy with the battery performance. Usually only charge it about once a week. Hopefully Fitbit will do you right.

I found this below: Version 1.124.76
This release includes bug fixes, improvements, and a critical security update.
I wish that they vere more specific on what exactly they changed and what the critical security update fixed.
