A few weeks ago the touchscreen of my fitbit stopped working. I did change the clock, but after an hour it stopped working again. Today I tried to fix that by doing a restart. Now my fitbit only gives a black screen.
I tried doing a restart again and it does show the smiley face, but after that it goes black again. I also tried to change the clock. It will show the loading bar, but after that it goes black again.
When I touch the sides it does react as in I can feel a vibration. But is doesn't show anything.
Is there something I can do to fix this?

Good point.
To be honest, I had given up on my fitbit and was literally about to throw it away when I decided to plug it in just in case, so I don't know how long the battery was dead for... if I had to guess, a week or two.
I did not need to let it fully charge. I plugged it in, waited about a minute, and all of my woes were gone - the screen was responsive just like before it broke. I even just re-synced with the app and it still works properly.

Ah one more thing (I know there's a million variables here). I had deleted my fitbit account too. My account was still in the 30 day holding period before permanent deletion, but I'm mentioning it just in case that was the magic fix behind the scenes.

I've had my Inspire 2 fitbit for 10 months & really happy with it until the screen went blank over the weekend. It is still logging steps on my phone. I've tried all the advice but it remains a black screen.

OMG! Thank you for this post! It worked for me, too! Today is the day 2 after the resurrection. I will see how it goes!

What particularly worked for you? I am waiting on my battery to die.

Actually, it didn't fix the problem 100%. I waited for the inspire 2 to drain the battery completely, then waited a day or two and charged up. The screen came back but it didn't scroll.

We have the same issue!? This is odd. The HR Monitor light stopped blinking. We reset the watch and not the screen and black; the side buttons vibrate when you squeeze the side of the watch. Was there an update that killed the watch?

I just tried to add the Inspire 2 to another Android, but because I can't see the screen, I cannot see the 4-digit code to add it! The app can see the device, but there is no way to proceed. Again, why are so many users of Inspire 2 experiencing the same issues simultaneously?

Hello,
I did succeed to recover all functions of my inspire 2 during one week.
Let full battery discharge.Wait one more week.Charge again.
Conclusion : hard reset permits to solve the issue.
But 1 week later, I am back facing again, first no more touch, then recharge from 32% and RESET ... then again black screen ... with all functions still actives ... what a pity.
Fitbit don't care seems to be ! No support.
Not willing then to replace with a new watch that would also be down in a while ...
Bye
