Inspire 2 brand new unreadably dark and clock wrong

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've just bought a brand new Inspire 2.  I've charged it, linked it to the phone and updated the software.

The screen is so dark that I can barely read it in complete darkness.  The clock is (in the dark!) incorrect.

I've tried restarting the device, scrolling through to settings to ensure that "Dim" is off and reinstalling the app.  I can see that this is a common problem.  Is there anything else to try apart from taking it back?

Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Welcome to the forums @SRC2.

Thank you for sharing the details regarding your Inspire 2 and for trying to fix it on your own.

Please, confirm that you restarted the device following the steps listed here

In addition, try to sync the device with the app. If you see any issue in order to sync, please see this article.

Beside that, try changing the clock face as suggested in this help article

Hi ManuFitbit

Yes, I've reset it, synced it and changed the clock face, each of them several times.  Still no joy.  It's just about readable in a dark room but impossible outdoors (even in Winter!).  Also, it doesn't show the time when I lift my wrist, which I think it should.  I have to press the screen to see the time.  Is that right?

I'd appreciate any other help you can give me, otherwise it's time for a refund, I think.

Time for a refund.  It appears that Fitbit are unable to resolve the problem.  To anyone else with the same issue, I can only suggest a rival device.
