Inspire 2 - can only get the time on the screen

I’ve been having issues with software updates - blank screens and alarms not syncing….

 

Today, blank screen has resolved itsellf but now I can only get the time on the watch - it doesn’t allow me to scroll through from the clock to see how many steps I’ve done, check heart rate, log exercise, use the timers.

Thanks for the details provided about your Inspire 2. 

As a first step, I'd suggest you to perform a restart on your device

If after doing the restart you still have the inconvenience on the tracker, please change your clock face aswell. This is usually helpful with display issues.

Thanks, I did the above before you replied and now have a completely blank screen again! Green light on the back & vibrates if I touch the sides. 
Smiley face appears if I do a restart"……then nothing!

 

so frustrating!

I’ve been told by Fitbit that my watch is defective - so please warn people that the screen might completely go blank and not restart rendering it defective!
