I just received the Inspire 2 as a gift. This is my first fitness tracker watch and I love it. I also received some face covers to go with it. I put it on and thought it would provide protection but have found the moisture gets trapped between the cover and the Fitbit face. I’ve had to take it off twice today to wipe the moisture from the Fitbit and reattach the strap. Seems cumbersome and also concerned the moisture could damage the watch? Is this common? Should I be concerned or get a different type of cover/guard?

Hi @ShantiOm I've had several Fitbits over the years and haven't put on a cover or had scratch issues. Fitbit doesn't sell them, so that tells me they might not think them to be necessary. Do you wear it in the shower? I never do, but take that time for charging it. It would make sense that the accumulate moisture could, over time, harm the Fitbit. The warranty doesn't call for using anything but Fitbit brand charger unit and bands. I'm not sure how the use of the face covers causing possible damage would be something the warranty would cover. I've asked a Fitbit Moderator to stop by to address this with you, so you'll get the correct information.

@Odyssey13 Nice to see you here. Thank you for your information and informing us .
@ShantiOm , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.
The cover you have goes around the whole tracker or is just a screen protection "film"?
We do not recommend to use covers over the whole tracker at this might cause that some features do not work correctly, like floors counts (on the devices available) etc.
The only cover that we recommend for the Inspire 2 is the one for the Ace 3, but this one is small, as it is developed for kids.
We do not recommend the use of other tipe of covers or 3rd party accessories as some features may be affected or the tracker altogether.
The use of them also can void your warranty if anything happens to the tracker.
Hope this helps you further.

Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it. I received the covers as a gift yesterday and thought it was something necessary. After all, I do want my Fitbit to last a long time and protect it the best way I can.

Thank you for responding and giving your feedback! Much appreciated.
another question, then… is a protective film a good idea? Or does that impact the warranty as well?
thank you in advance…

@ShantiOm , Thank you for your replies. The film is something that other users apply. It all depends on what you are putting on. Some users have noticed that the swipe feature gets affected with the film.
Hoppe this help.

I would not recommend putting a cover on it. I have had many fitbits over the years, and I have never put a cover on it once. I’ve scratched it sure, but I’ve never cracked it or anything like that. I would recommend taking off the cover.
