Hi All !

My fitbit failed to record some steps this morning, so I added them in manually this afternoon. When I did that, it deleted all the steps it had recorded after that point in the day (so I added a few steps in as of  7:45 am by recording a manual activity via the website just now, but the steps accumulated since 7:45 -- about 5,500 steps - disappeared. Deleting the manually added activity didn't recover the original step count 😞

Thoughts???

When you manually record an activity, it overwrites whatever you had recorded for that time frame, steps, heart rate recording, etc.  If the time frame you manually recorded the activity already had steps, those steps would have been overridden by the activity you manually recorded.  If you delete the manually recorded activity, it might revert back to the originally recorded data.

Maybe this is what you did, but for your purpose, it seems you should have selected a time without much activity to add those steps back in, or better yet the tie this morning when they should have been recorded.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks! I think that I made a mistake in how I manually added the activity. After trying a few different undo things, I did revert to my original data, so I'm going to chalk it up to user error.
