Inspire 2 first didn't sync, now doesn't pair

So I've been having some issues getting my inspire 2 connected to my app:

  • first, after an iOS update (17.2.1) my Fitbit wouldn't sync. Tried the suggested troubleshooting here.

  • however, pairing then doesn't take place. I get the message "something went wrong. Connection with the device timed out. If this error persists, try restarting Bluetooth on your phone or rebooting this device."
  • restarting Bluetooth and rebooting the inspire 2 also didn't fix it
  • even went as far to delete the app from my iOS, downloaded again, still the problem persists

now what do I do? Thanks a lot in advance!

I am in same boat. Got a new phone and now the inspire 2 wont connect. Says its taking longer than usual then times out. Deleted/reinstalled app, rebooted device and bluetooth, reset device, nothing. Help from FitBit now google would be nice.

After several attempts resetting both the phone and the watch it finally
synced. It was very frustrating but it’s now sorted.

Update, yesterday I attempted to connect via iPad instead of phone and that worked and when I looked at the phone app it was asking to be paired too. Not sure if the issue just fixed itself or if it was using the iPad first?!

Persistence paid off. Only took 4 days to work.

I am having to re-pair my inspire 2 several times a day.
Looks like it may be a more widespread issue than just us few posting…

Any suggestions for a fix? It’s getting boring having to re-pair before I can look at any data!
