Our daughter received the Inspire 2 for Christmas today. Little did I know we couldn’t add her to the family account, since she didn’t get the ACE, which aesthetically is suited for much younger children. As I’ve been researching it appears many parents have communicated frustration over this issue since at least 2019. I hope Fitbit will consider creating a device more appropriate for middle schoolers that can be connected to the family account. It’s very disappointing that we’re now put in a position to either lie about her age and not have monitoring features or return the device.

Hi, welcome back to the Community forums, @Posies98.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the Family account and Inspire 2.
This would be a great implementation for many users and as you mentioned earlier, other Community members have expressed their desire to add other devices to the Family account besides the Fitbit Ace series.
I recommend that you vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers: Allow More Fitbit Devices than Ace to Family Account.
This is really helpful to continue to track popularity and demand over time.
Have a great day.

Same problem here. My daughter (11) got one for Christmas too and now I'm forced to lie about her age. I really disappointed as its advertised by Fitbit for that age group 🤷:female_sign:

Same exact situation here. My daughter was always borrowing mine, so grandpa got her one for Christmas. I’m having to fudge on her age so we can set an account since family connect only allows for connecting an ace.
