My Inspire 2 has started to drain fast. I had full charge last night. Woke up and it was completely dead. This just started Tuesday. I just did a restart and it’s on the charger. Is there something else I should try? I really like my Inspire 2. I don’t want to get another one.

My Inspire 2 started to do that after the update in December. I kept squeezing the sides and it finally turned back on.  Unfortunately though since the update my battery is 1/3 of what it used to be. I've only had mine for about a year and a half so the battery was still pretty good at the time. It seems others have had problems since the update as well.

Good to see you participating in the community @rvogenitz.

Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding the Inspire 2 and for trying to fix it on your own.

Please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this articleIn addition, try to perform a restart following the steps listed here below, this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  3. Press and hold the buttons on your tracker for 10 seconds.
  4. Release the buttons. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

The battery can last up to 7 days; because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary, but the battery shouldn't be draining only after one or two days. Keep in mind that some of the feature that can drain the battery more rapidly are:

  • Built-in GPS.
  • Always-on display (Inspire 2 can have a battery life of up to 3 days when using this feature).

I’ve completed restarts 3 times with no change. I can watch the battery icon in the app just get lower and lower. I’m ordering an Inspire 3. Hopefully the battery will last and  I’ll be able to see the screen. Right now I’m unable to see the screen unless I’m in a dark space. I can’t see it in the light. I gave up trying to get help with that issue. So I’ll just take my Inspire 2 to a recycle center.

I’ve heard that others are having problems with their batteries. I thought I would be ok cause it seemed to be effecting the charge 6 I think that was the one. Did you notice that your screen went dark? You can’t read it in the light? A lot of people had that problem, that was my first problem. I was advised to use a different clock face. I’m beginning to think Google doesn’t want to support Fitbit products.

Yes, That happened after the update. I thought the thing was a goner but after fiddling with it for a while (days) it turned on. I would keep it on the charger and hold down the sides and then I would take it off the charger and hold down the sides and tap the screen. Eventually after enough fiddling it turned on. Had problems with it for a little while after that and now it's working except for the fact the battery is 1/3 of what it was before the update.

I hope it starts working for you!
