Inspire 2 heart rate not reaching home page

I keep my home page open while on the treadmill but the heart rate goes from 120 to 58.  If I swipe down my numbers update and the heart rate become accurate again.   I need to do this every few seconds.  Is there a  setting  that I need to change to keep it accurate.
