Inspire 2 heart rate stopped working, now continually says to download the fitbit app

2 days ago the heart rate stopped working.  Its grey color, dash where the value usually is.  Tried all the suggestions found on this site.  Last try was to clear the data.  Since then it says to download the Fitbit app.  I have it already downloaded.  Removed it and redownloaded it.  No change.  Now the fitbit Inspire 2 won't sync with phone.  Probably due to being study on 'download Fitbit app' message.  Fitbit will connect to phone via bluetooth, just not providing data to Fitbit app.  Help?

I just purchased mine yesterday, went through all instructions and I am having the same problem.  It is just not working 😕 😒

 My Inspire 2 arrived yesterday and the heart rate monitor isn’t working despite going through all the suggestions. Frustrating
