Inspire 2 is dead after swimming with it

Ive been wearing the Inspire 2 for 2 years and noticed whenever I swim in the pool it goes flat straight away, has trouble connecting to charger without scrubbing the contacts of the fitbit. Last night I swam in the ocean and by the time I got home it fritzed right out, went flat and is now dead. I don't think they are waterproof like they said.

You should post in the Other-Inspire-Trackers forum for better visibility for your question.

Welcome to the community, @Rebekah90W@gdio53 Thanks for helping our new member.

@Rebekah90W Thanks for sharing your experience with your Inspire 2. Before anything else, I'd like to clarify that your tracker is water-resistant to 50 meters, and it can stand up to the sweatiest of workouts. That being said, may I know if you feel a vibration when pressing the button? If not, please give a try to the following steps and monitor its behavior afterward:

  1. Clean the gold contacts on your tracker and charging cable.
  2. Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  3. Make sure you use the charging cable that came in the box, as well as your device is connected correctly.
  4. Restart your Inspire 2 with the charging cable as described here.
  5. Leave your device plugged into the charging cable for at least 30 minutes.

By the way, I've moved your post to the Other Inspire Trackers board as this is more likely a question and not an idea to see in the future.
