I find I get notifications when I'm focussed.on something they're a pain in the bum. They are exercise related things, but in the app it looks like they're off.
Also I have all phone app notifications set to deny.
On that note incoming call or message notificy would be good, but in the notification section of the app dialer and messages app do not appear, so how the F do I allow them.

I have a really similar issue. I’m currently getting checked out for heart issues due to having an extremely high pulse, but I have been professionally diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder (which could be causing the high pulse as well). I’ll be sitting in class & my Inspire will go off and vibrate saying I’m exercising when I’m not. The only solution is to put it in sleep mode, but then I can’t just check my wrist for the time; I have to push the sides, which is really annoying if I’m checking time while walking to classes to make sure I’m on time since I have to carry a violin as well as my backpack. I really really wish they’d add an option to turn off exercise notifications because I get distracted by the smallest of things. Or at least have an option to note I have a high pulse & am not exercising as often as it thinks.
Also to edit phone notifications: click your profile picture in the app, click on your Inspire, then scroll down. There should be a notifications tab. Edit everything you need!

You could try using the Do Not Disturb (DND) feature.
