Inspire 2 is not counting the lengths/distance accurately

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have an Inspire 2 which I bought 3 months ago specifically to track my swimming - lengths, distance and calories burned etc.
However, more often than not, it is quite inaccurate on counting the lengths/distance which is really frustrating. I tend to swim around 100 lengths per session and it sometimes only records 70-80 lengths. Not great when you're swimming for a charity and distance is everything :-).
I've rebooted a couple of times before but it doesn't really help.

I have the same issue. My first one was returned as it never worked. This one just started. It used to just short me 1 length. Sat...nothing at all. Today it quit after 10 minutes. I have to depend on it to automatically record because the screen is so dark in the sunlight you can't read it to set it. I have all setting correct. It is NOT on dim. Disappointed in this tracker. Not worth the cost...

It stops in the middle of a swim or doesn't start one.

It decides if I walk from the car to the house I have been swimming for 15 minutes.

It gives me steps when I'm sitting and neglects to award then when walking.

I have already accepted the fact that I cannot start an activity on it while outdoors because screen can't be seen outdoors. No...it's not on Do not disturb it Dim. I would restart it but that's what I'm going to be told to do if contacted by support. Guess I'll do it anyhow but not swimming for a few days so don't know if it will help that until my next swim.

  • Very frustrating.  I tried through the link to contact support but it keeps telling me the menu has changed and start again and then directs me here.

IIt's been set to the pool length since day 1. If course I forgot to mention that so you could tell me that was probably part of the problem even though I mentioned this just started happening recently. I won't know if it corrected itself until I swim again.

I bought this Fitbit specifically because it tracks lengths in the pool. However, on first use it seems that I can't and have to sync with my phone to find out how many lengths I've completed.

Is this the case? If so it's a completely useless function- I bought it so I'd know in the pool how many lengths I'd swum.

I've tried using chat for support to no avail. Completely hopeless.
