Ok, so I am super confused. I got my Fitbit on June 2nd of this year and it seems to be incorrectly counting my calories. For example, one day I got over 18,000 steps and burned around 4,000 calories. However on another day where I had 20,000 steps, the fitbit says I only burned 1,000 calories??? I’ve burned more calories than that on days where I had 2,000 steps. I’m so confused. It’s been acting like this for a few days, please help!

Check your weight. If entered grossly wrong, can throw throw off calorie burn.

Thanks for the answer! Do you mean I may have entered the weight too high or too low? I checked, and the weight I originally entered seems to be right…still not sure what the problem is though. 😞

For instance, if one day you entered daily weight with decimal point off, making weight off by factor of 10, calories burned would be way down that day. Sometimes that explains when people see strange calorie burn numbers. But it sounds that's not the case for you.
