Inspire 2 is not tracking my data accurately

1.5 year old Fitbit inspire 2. Used treadmill setting 1st time. Walked 1 mile. Fit read .64 I did turn off after

This morning awoke 6:40 fit says 5:30

10343 steps read 3.45 miles. My 10000 steps will usually read 4.? Miles.

Something amiss. Is it me or Fitbit?

Looks like 3 different issues. I won't attempt to address them all.

Your profile looks like you've been with Fitbit for several years.  If this is the first time Fitbit has gotten your wake time wrong, congratulations.  Though sometimes, it does adjust that after you have been awake a while.

For treadmill, a couple possible explanations:

(1) If you are taking the "1 mile" from treadmill machine reading, those are not necessarily correct.

(2) On treadmill, and anytime walking without GPS, fitbit calculates distance by multiplying number of steps times stride length.  If you are holding hand rail with fitbit hand at all, fitbit probably will not detect those steps, thus calculated distance will be shortened.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi @Linatic. Welcome to the community forums.

Thanks @JohnnyRow for the information provided.

Regarding the sleep log, remember that sometimes when we are still sleeping in the bed we make movements that Fitbit could mistake them as a time awake. I suggest you edit the sleep log following these steps.
