Been randomly getting HR spikes when at rest. For example, I'll notice it go from 80 to 160, stay there for a while (giving me zone minutes when doing nothing) then will drop back down.
I've tried restarting the device multiple times, read the tips on how to improve accuracy but it still happens.
I understand it's not to be a gold standard HR monitor but the spikes seem ridiculous?

Hi, @Caeberry , you are right in saying that the Inspire 2 is not a medical device, but it sounds like the kind of “spikes” you are reporting are not what is expected. I appreciate that you have restarted your device several times, which is always a good first troubleshooting step.
I am wondering, is this a new issue? Presumably you have had your Inspire 2 for a while…. Is this the first time you have noticed it?
One simple thing, for devices you have been wearing for a while, that can help is to give the device a good clean. The main thing for heart rate detection is to clean the back of your Fitbit, ideally with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. That might help!
Other things that could affect your HR readings are sweat build up on your wrist, tattoos, lots of hair, etc - basically things that could interfere with reading your heartrate. But none of these things - except excessive skin cells and the like debris on your device would likely be new.

Hi @Julia_G thankyou for the response. This is a new issue, happening in the last couple of weeks. I've had the device for almost 2 years and this is the first time I've noticed it.
I did give a good clean but will try again and continue to monitor.
