Inspire 2 is showing too many calories burned upon waking up

Hello, I recently acquired a FitBit Inspire 2 and set up my profile. I am having an issue where I wake up with 1,353 calories burnt every morning, starting at midnight every day. While some say this is the BMR estimated overnight, I have trouble believing this since I have not worn my fitbit overnight at all. I’m fact, I have only worn it for 5 minutes in the kitchen while setting it up. If anyone knows how to reset this without factory resetting, please help 😕

Your BMR calorie burn gets credited whether you are wearing your Fitbit or not.  If you don't think the 1353 number seems reasonable, there are plenty of on-line BMR calculators you can compare, all or which give quite similar results.

This is just the first I got with a Google search but there are many others https://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html

Just plug in your age, gender, height, and weight and it gives your daily BMR.  You will have to do some basic math if want to break that down from midnight to when you get up, to see if that is close to the 1,353 Fitbit is showing you.

Again, Fitbit is saying it knows that you were burning at least those calories even if you were not wearing the watch.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
