I’ve had my inspire 2 for less than half a year and now the battery barely lasts two days. Is this a common problem? What can I do?

Hi, @Vaforbes23 , if you have had an Inspire 2 for less than 6 months, then I think you must not have purchased it directly from Fitbit or from an authorised seller.  This is because the Inspire 2 is an older device and has been discontinued and unavailable from Fitbit or authorised outlets for quite some time now.  It sounds like you must have bought it on eBay or some other seller.  In this case, even if you purchased the item “new, unused and in box” the battery on the device will be quite old and will likely have deteriorated, even if it was never charged.  Unfortunately that is just the physics of rechargeable batteries!  It will have sat, deeply discharged for months or even a couple of years…

For now, the best thing you can do is keep charging your Inspire 2 regularly - every day is ideal - perhaps for 15-30 minutes.  The idea is to avoid deep discharges which will lead to further deterioration of the battery.  Ideally avoid allowing the battery to go below about 20%.  If you are lucky it will continue to work for many more months, although I expect its current 2 day life may diminish further.
