Inspire 2 not showing distance

My inspire 2 stopped calculating distance on my fitbit. Distance always says 0.00 mi even though it calculates my steps. When I log into my fitbit app all the data shows in there even the distance. Why is my distance not showing properly on my fitbit device itself?

Thank you for sharing the details regarding your Inspire 2. 

Please, make sure to have both the Fitbit app and the device updated to the last version.

In addition, perform the following steps on the Fitbit app:

  • Log out from the Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  • Open the Fitbit app and log back into your account.
  • Check if the issue is still happening.

My fitbit device did need to be updated so I did that. However the distance still is showing as 0 mi on my fitbit device where as in the fitbit app it shows correctly.

Please, confirm that you have restarted the device as indicated in this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the restart doesn't solve the difficulty, please, try to set up as a new device your Inspire 2:

I'd recommend trying the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.
