Inspire 2 not tracking HR and sleep (green lights are off)

HR and sleep will not track. Light sensors are not green. Not working

UPDATE. Wasn't on clip, I have no idea what happened but I completely reset the fit bit and it started to work. Interestingly when I reset it all my data was still in my app so I didn't lose any information 🙂

@Mel134 hello and welcome! One feature of the Inspire 2 is that you have the option to wear it on your wrist or on a clip. If it is set to wear on a clip, the heart rate monitoring will be turned off and the green lights won't be on.

To check this, press and hold both buttons on the sides of the Inspire 2. You'll get a list of settings. Swipe up until you get to the last one. It should say "On Wrist", if you want see your heart rate and sleep stages. If it says "On Clip", tap on that and change it to "On Wrist".

I was just on the other conversation about Fitbit suddenly stopped working.  It was odd that all of this are very close to the same exact dates. I don’t think we all accidentally clicked to

This has to be an update issue on fitbits side . Because we all have lost
the same things at the same time so it has to be an update issue there's
nothing more that it points to I wish it was an option to go back on the
updates
Best Answer

Yes, I believe that is the case. I wish they would just come out and say it.

Best Answer
They might send so many people are complaining about it ..
They're going to have to do something they can't leave us all just hanging
Best Answer

You wouldn’t think that they would leave us hanging.  It has been since 18th so seems like they would at least acknowledge the error and give an approximate date for fix.

I'm having this SAME EXACT ISSUE and it just started about a week ago after I updated the Fitbit. It was working perfectly fine before and now my HR is either stuck at 114 or doesn't show and my green light doesn't come on anymore. Talked to chat support, they disconnected while I waiting for their response and no one seems to have answers. I'm so frustrated but glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. Lemme know if you find a solution please!

Best Answer

Has anyone gotten a fix for the issue?

Best Answer
Nope no way to fix it yet .
We all believe it's the update that Fitbit did but they won't admit any
issues

Hi everyone.

Nice to see you around the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided and for the steps you've tried until now. I totally understand where your concern is coming from.

If your Fitbit device doesn’t show your heart rate, try the following troubleshooting tips in the order shown. After each tip, view your heart rate to see if you solved the problem.

  • Confirm heart-rate tracking is turned on:
    • Open the Settings app and find Heart Rate. Make sure Heart Rate is On.
  • Make sure your device is positioned correctly on your wrist:
    • Tighten the band just enough so it doesn’t slip on your wrist. Your device needs a solid contact with your arm to reliably track your heart rate.
    • Heart-rate tracking may not work with certain accessory bands, especially if they’re loose fitting. Move the band to a slightly different position on your arm—a little higher or a little lower.

Once your Fitbit heart rate works again I recommend considering the following in order to get sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

If you've already contacted our Support Team, please stay tuned to the next step.

Hope this helps.

Those tips have not worked.  I have called support.  He told me that it was an update issue and they would email me when they had a fix. It has been a month since then.  It stopped working when the Fitbit started automatically syncing steps. I went back and removed the automatic, but even though it’s turned off it still automatically syncs.

Yeah I also thought that was a joke because I've done everything and
everything and nothing works it's an update issue and they don't want to
admit to it

Thanks!  I was wondering if it was only mine that none of that worked on.

You forgot about the part “on clip” and “on wrist”.
That is the step that made the difference for me.
