Inspire 2 not tracking sleep stages

Guys I’m desperate. I got inspire 2 almost solely to track my sleep. After the first night I was so happy! Seeing different stages REM, light sleep, times I was awake etc. From the second night onwards I only get you slept x amount of hours. And how long it took me to go to sleep but nothing like the first night. I have premium account. What’s going on?

To Fitbit support,

Clearly there is a problem, so many people are not getting what they paid for and what they expect, which is consistent full sleep information every night. At the moment mine only seems to work if I restart the fitbit before going to bed, which is just ridiculous! Otherwise I get no sleep info. And yes, I have followed all of your trouble shooting steps, but no, the problem is not resolved.

Hi @Wellsleep do you have a sleep score?

Best Answer

As mentioned, above, no sleep score, no sleep stages.

Have you checked for a suggested message,

On the app, tap a night in question, read the messages below the graph.

Best Answer

No sleep score.

The message I got is

Your tracker couldn't get a consistent heart-rate reading while you slept.

Best Answer

A few thoughts.

Is the tracker over a dark tattoo?

Have you cleaned the tracker?

@Wellsleep Nice to see you around. Thank you for getting back. If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely, you will get this type of information. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight. You can also restart your Fitbit with these instructions: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

@Rich_Laue Thanks for the amazing help!

I updated the firmware and cleared all user data.  Fitbit still cannot track my sleep due to 'Your tracker couldn't get a consistent heart-rate reading while you slept.'  I have no idea because it was working for months before this month.

@roberty I've been doing the same thing (deleting log entry, adding back begin and end times manually) to get sleep stages to show up with a new, problematic Charge 5. Did you ever get this problem resolved with your device, in an automated way?

FWIW, I'd go back to the Charge 4 that this new device replaced if it were possible! (physically broken + missing latch)

Hi, not really. When it doesn't record sleep, I clean the contacts and reset the fitbit and it's usually ok for a little while, but that still leaves a night with no information. It's very frustrating and disappointing that Fitbit don't seem at all interested. Good Luck with yours.
