Inspire 2 receiving multiple and repeated calendar notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

No matter how long the appt. is in my calendar (10 minutes, all day, etc.) I get MULTIPLE notifications for it throughout the day starting at midnight. It is such a nuisance! I can't shut the notifications off because I still need them, but just one per event! How has there still not been an update to this problem that every single fitbit user has? I just got the new inspire 2 instead of the apple watch, but I may have to return it and move on from fitbit. My old Charge 2 did the same thing, I thought the problem was resolved. Unacceptable.

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. We are aware of the calendar notifications inconvenience and hopefully a fix will come soon. I’m sure getting repeating calendar events can be quite annoying. For troubleshooting and information, please visit this thread

Hello @JoClifford, welcome to the community forums!

You can turn off certain notifications in the Fitbit app, or turn off all notifications in quick settings on Inspire 2. When you turn off all notifications, your tracker won't vibrate and the screen won't turn on when your phone receives a notification.

To turn off certain notifications:

1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app on your phone, tap your profile
picture > Inspire 2 tile > Notifications.
2. Turn off the notifications you no longer want to receive on your tracker.

To turn off all notifications:

1. Press and hold the buttons on your tracker.
2. Tap DND to turn on do not disturb. The DND icon illuminates to indicate that all notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are turned off.

Also, note that if you use the do not disturb setting on your phone, you don't receive notifications on your tracker until you turn off this setting.

Hope this helps!

Any update on a fix for this issue?

No, and I asked this months ago. It is such a nuisance. I have calendar notifications waking me up at all hours of the night. I have a new born and this is completely unacceptable. I end up taking it off and not even wearing it, so it's a pointless watch to have.

@WilsonFitbit , any update on this issue? It’s been 4 months since @Teksav reported this issue where you acknowledged it and said that your team is aware. Being in the tech industry, this delay in the fix is highly unusual. Can you please shed some light on this. Perhaps an eta? This is taking too long.

thanks,

Ryan

I just got the inspire 2. Calendar notifications still keep going off. I put mine on sleep mode or do not disturb at night.... just like my phone.

I can’t leave it on sleep mode all day and night, what’s the point of wearing it then? Anyways I’ve stopped using it and got an Apple Watch. Not worth my time and frustration. It’s been years of this with no fix in sight.

It’s been over a year since this thread was active. I’m having the same problem: multiple (like 15) times today for the same event. I removed the event from my calendar and I’m still getting the same notification. I’m in my warranty period; should I return the Fitbit Inspire 2?

Over a year more, and I’m still having the problem.  Even getting calendar notifications after the appointment was over.  I guess I’ll have it turn it off.  Seems like that shouldn’t be such a difficult thing to fix?
