I’ve had mine since last Christmas. I finally set it up quite awhile ago but never got into using it. I recharged it today and it is still synced to my phone. I now want to use it but now the display is too dim. I think it was working correctly earlier but all of a sudden it’s not. Very disappointing if it won’t work correctly as it was a gift from my daughter. I’m certainly not going to spend any money to fix or get a new one as it is essentially brand new and obviously not a good product if it is in fact broken.

You have to make sure that "sleep" and "screen dim" are turned off, as described here:
https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2461.htm?highlight=troubleshoot
" If your screen is dim, check the following settings:
*Dim Screen is turned off in the Settings app
*Sleep mode is turned off in quick settings and in the Settings app."
Please note. Even at its brightest, this device is not particularly bright. I am unable to read it when I am outdoors (unless it is dark out).

When I go to Settings on my phone app I don’t have any of those viewable or available to change. The only link is to contact developer.

Hi! These settings are on the device itself. You can click the link to see what the symbols will look like. You can make both changes under the "settings" category. "Sleep" can also (as in INSTEAD) be adjusted via the thing they call "quick settings" or something like that. If you change "sleep" in both places you will turn it off and then back on again or vice versa.

Oh I see what the problem is. For some reason Fitbit is using the word "app" to refer to the things you scroll through on the device. I'm sorry. I think it would have been clear to you if you had gone to the link, but maybe not.

I have the same problem. It was brighter. Can hardly see it. How do I fix it?

@Txquiltergirl Please check the answers above yours. If you have already done that, then you have fixed it as much as it can be fixed. The screen is dim, even at its brightest.

That was very helpful. Thank you. I was able to find the settings on the device and it was in dim. It’s much better now
