I just got an Inspire2 last week and am disappointed that I can’t see the screen outdoors. What good is it for tracking when you can’t see it! Thinking of returning and getting a cheap fitness watch I’ve had that screen is visible!

This is just one of the sticky little things about Fitbit that makes me crazy.
My Inspire randomly decides to notify me or not about needing more steps to complete an hour.
It challenges me to perform some stunt when I have not asked for any such motivation.
It vibrates repeatedly sometimes (like for the above mentioned challenge) when I am outside working, can't see what the screen says, have to take off my gloves and find some shade to read the screen, sometimes have to take off the Fitbit to get it to reset.
It will reset or unset or make some change if I bend my wrist and it thinks I am pressing the sides (I have tried wearing it higher on my wrist and a little looser so this won't happen but it still does).
Here's what I want to see when I turn my wrist over:
A, What time it is
B. How many steps I have completed.
It would be so great to be able to see that outside. Or inside. Just that. If I want to see any of the other stuff I'll ask.
I think these trackers have been poorly designed, haphazardly manufactured, and are overly complicated. They also have pretty short lifespans so that you will be prompted to buy the newest way overpriced version.
This will be my last Fitbit. It was fun for a while to keep track of activities but now it's not worth the trouble with all the little quirks. My first two Altas were much simpler but also not without problems- terrible wristbands, short lived batteries, very small screen.
It will probably wear out in the next year or, more likely, I will place it carefully on a hard surface and smash it with a hammer.
Too bad Fitbit, I was hoping we could be friends.

I bought this Fitbit because I thought it would be better than my previous cheaper fitness watch. Disappointed that it can’t do all that my old one (that lasted over 6 years and still works but because I had to glue my band back on) I decided to try a new watch. My old watch could swim in it (without having to turn a water lock on) could see clearly outdoors, and notifications could be changed on or off. The only thing I like about the Inspire 2 is that it doesn’t turn on at night when I move my arm so it doesn’t disturb my husband’s sleep.

I can't believe anybody would sell or buy anything that can't be used in daylight hours!
I got my first fitbit today as a present and I've had to wait until dark to see it. What is the point???

I found in settings to turn dim screen off when outside. I turn dim on again when indoors. It seems to help but obviously, cupping the screen with your hand to avoid direct light helps as well. (I thought my inspire was broken when I couldn’t see it outside with dim screen on.)
