Inspire 2 screen not working now not syncing

Hi hoping someone can help

My Inspire 2 wasn’t scrolling I think it might have been stuck in water lock. Couldn’t unlock it. 
I attached to charger and did reboot. Now screen display has disappeared altogether and it also seems to have stopped tracking steps. 
It still has green light flashing on back and will vibrate when touch sides but no display. 
I have rebooted several times (screen activates to show smiley face then goes blank and unresponsive again).

I’ve tried fast tapping - no joy. 
I’ve tried changing the clock face multiple times - screen wakes to show download bar but then goes blank and unresponsive again. 
When I synced it today it showed last night’s sleep but hasn’t recorded any steps for today. 
Any suggestions or is it beyond saving?

I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Inspire 2. Thank you for trying to get them resolved before contacting us.

In this case, I would recommend setting up your Tracker as a replacement device:

 

  1. Tap the Today tab EdsonFitbit_0-1654130962708.png, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Thanks. I tried this but now it’s not working at all. 

Before it was still counting steps etc but the screen was blank. Now it’s unpaired and I can’t add it back as a device. 
The app initially found it as a device to add but when pairing you’re asked for a code from the screen of the Inspire 2. Obviously as my screen is broken I couldn’t see the code. Tried re-starting etc but now my App can’t find the device. 
So now it’s completely useless. Whereas before it was only partially useless.

I was given it as a gift Christmas 2020. So it’s a year and a half old. Is it out of warranty?
