Inspire 2 screen too dim in sun

Just got the I spire 2 on labour day deal and will probably take it back. Issues:

1) Dim screen unreadable in sunny conditions. I’ve been through all the troubleshooting with Fitbit on the phone, nothing helped, I think it’s the screen glass causing the prob. 
2) why is the charging cable so short? It’s a bit ridiculous 

3) Order of readings -I want my heart rate to show up first, even on the main clock screen. There’s no way to favorite it or alter the order of the data from what I can see in Troubleshooting.

Overall: If you’re exercising outside and your hands are sweaty, you have to stop to take off sunglasses to see, then it’s hard enough to swipe through data to get to heart rate. I think I’ll be returning it.

Hi, @AEJ321 unfortunately difficulty in seeing the screen in bright sunlight is an issue with the technology and if you already have Dim screen set to OFF there isn’t a lot more you can do to fix this issue.  

This is no longer a problem on the newer Fitbits which now feature colour screens which I can confirm are much clearer even in very bright light.  The new Inspire 3 (available for shipping at the end of the month, I believe) has a colour screen, so should be much more visible.  It will probably be a while before it is on special offer, however!  (You might find the Luxe on offer somewhere - it also has a colour screen, but is a fairly basic tracker).

If you are tracking an exercise through the exercise app you can set it so that the main info you see on the screen while you are exercising is your heartrate.  Just start your exercise and tap until Heartrate is the main stat displayed.

You may be able to find a third party charger with a longer cable, but do be careful if you choose to use a charger not supplied with your Fitbit as not all are safe.

Thanks, I exchanged for a Luxe and the screen is much better. And I found a Clock setting that shows my heart rate on the main screen.
