I saw, there was an update, so I did do that. After it, my Inspire 2 screen was just all black. It was charged, the green light is working, it is tracking and syncing, vibing. It worked perfectly till this update. Tried the 10sec restart. The the smile face appeared, but than again all black.

Welcome to the community @3MSE3.
Sorry about that. Thank you for sharing the details regarding the difficulty with your Inspire 2 and for trying to fix it through the restart.
Please, I'd suggest syncing it with the Fitbit app. Take a look at this article if in any case you have some issues to sync: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
In addition, change the clock face it has been useful to other users.

The exact issues that 3MSE3 described are effecting my Inspire 2 also. It started yesterday and I have tried every troubleshooting step I can find with no luck.
Do you know if there is any solution?

I have this exact problem. Tried your suggestions, still no screen illumination although the smiley face does display on reset. Is there a report number or ticket on this? What do you advise?

I'm having the same issue following the recent software update. Blank screen although fitbit (Inspire 2) tracking and syncing to app. Have tried all troubleshooting suggestions to no avail. Surely, this is a software issue that needs investigation.

I had the same issue since attempting to install the new update. My Fitbit vibrates and has a green light, but it has a black screen only and now it won’t even sync with the app. I had just synced prior to trying to install the update.

I've tried all of the solutions given in this thread and, like many others, nothing works. My fitbit Inspire 2 is fully charged and syncing to my iPHONE app, but the tracker screen is just black. The smily face appears when I reset, so the screen does function....but then the face disappears and the screen remains black. What are options to remedy the situation?

If there is a solution, I have not found it, and Fitbit support could offer nothing that helped.
My Inspire 2 is out of warranty but Fitbit did offer to give me 35% off a new purchase. I had to follow up after a few days to get it but if happened today.
Good luck

As I posted before my screen went completely black, but was still functioning and syncing, low and behold screen came back this week, but, is stuck on time and won't move😩I give up now, so many with the same problem has to be a software issue!

Whatever you do, do NOT remove the device from the app and then try to add it because you don't get
the code because the display is blacked out!!!

If a Fitbit firmware update bricked all these Inspire 2's why can't Fitbit issue a new update to give us all back the use of our devices?
Is this purpose to force all of us to buy new devices? Even Microsoft can fix issues with a new update. 🙂

I have the same issue. I've tried everything, including 4 different chats with customer service. It's been 2 months since the warranty expired and I feel I did NOT get my money's worth out of this device. Please post an update if they offer you a solution!

Wish I saw your comment before I removed the devicw from the app. Now can't get in at all. Had the stuck screen issue then saw new firmware so decided to update and now have a completely bricked device. Had the device just over a year and it's behaving like this. Fitbit have some pretty shocking customer support...or lack of. I now have a device that's not usable and can't even update.

I found that after removing the device I have to turn off Bluetooth, turn off phone then try resync. Resync took HOURS.

This doesn't solve it because it's not anything to do with my phone if I can't see the screen on my device. Therefore do not remove the device from your phone/app if you are having this black screen firmware issue as it will completely brick your device as you can no longer pair it after as you won't be able to see the 4 number code on the device to re-pair.
