Inspire 2 screen won’t turn on after getting wet

Took my Fitbit inspire off to have a shower and stupidly forgot to pilot it back on for two days. I’m old ok   😐   When I finally remembered it looked like the battery had died so I put it on charge. Left it for 3 hours and then checked on it… nothing. Tried a reset. Got the smilie face but the screen just went black again and still would not turn on. Put it back on charge and left it overnight. Did the reset thing again and still the same. Smilie face and then black screen.  What can I do to fix this. My Fitbit is only a year old.

Same issues, 2nd ibdpire 2. First one wouldn't reset time after time. Got a new one.  This is 2 months old, and here we go again! What will fix this, Fitbit tech department?

I hope I don’t have the same problem PaJea. I couldn’t resolve the problem so I’ve also replaced my inspire 2 with a new one today. Fingers crossed it will work as it should.

I have given up and gone back to Apple and got a new Apple Watch. So not happy with spending money on something that just does not last.

Hi there, @NinaMarieS @JazzyA and @PaJea. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thank you for report that your Inspire 2 is not turning on. I really appreciate the details provided in your post and for all the steps that you've tried to fix this. Please note Inspire 2 is water-resistant to 50 meters. For more information, see Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device?

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in this help article: How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

I was able to fix it by going to my app and changing the clock face, which
reset it and returned all to normal! Strange! Glad it worked. Sad I
didn't realize till now. Threw away a likely perfect fitbit, about a year
old, because nothing i tried, a few months ago, fixed it. Sad/expensive
replacement fix...

Hope y'all find and fix the problem.

Thank you.

Thank you.
