Hi, does anyone know how to fix the 001 firmware error on the Inspire 2?
My fitbit hasn't synced to my account since 1st September and it's showing the wrong time and date. Also I can't check my stats on the watch as it won't scroll.
I'm also getting a 001 error which I believe is a firmware error.
I've contacted fitbit but because my watch is outside the guarantee they won't help me.

Hello @Carinabean
I would try restarting your Inspire 2 first to see if that helps. Just plug in your Inspire 2 into the charger then press down and hold the side buttons until you see the small smiley face icon then release the button. It should vibrate letting you know the restart is complete.
If the issue continues try changing the clock face by going through the Fitbit App: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2311.htm
😉 I hope this helps and provides you an answer to you question. Please let me know

Hi, thanks for that.
yes I've tried that. I've also tried deleting and reinstalling the fitbit app. I've tried changing the clock face. Absolutely nothing works.
To be honest it the attitude of fitbit that's really annoyed me especially when after nothing worked and they wouldn't help me they then emailed me saying something "Fitbit devices are made to last as it goes through rigorous, extensive material testing"
Thanks for trying to help though

Hello again @Carinabean
I’m really sorry that restarting and changing the clock face didn’t help. Unfortunately I’m not aware of any long restart method for an Inspire 2 although some other models do have long restart capabilities.
I know your frustrated. I would be as well. I know you already contacted Fitbit Customer Service but honestly I’m surprised they couldn’t offer support just because your out of your warranty period. I’ve never heard of that before. I understand they can’t replace it because of warranty. Maybe you should try live chat or try calling them again and ask for support to fix an issue. 🤷:female_sign: Maybe there was a misunderstanding and they thought you wanted a replacement.
If you change your mind and want to reach out to customer support again here are ways to contact them:
USA: call (877) 623-4997
UK: call 0800 069 8505
INDIA: call 000 800 050 1057
IRELAND: call 01 691 7502 (country prefix: +353)

I do hope you find a resolution
