I've owned fitbits before always the HR version, so when my last one stopped working I went for the Inspire2. I've had it since end of August and I am totally disappointed with it. It is by far the worst fitbit I've had. Every now and then it tells me that it is not tracking steps. But that is not the worst thing. The most concerning thing for me is that it tracks steps during the night, but like lots of them. For example, last night I did like 27000 steps, there have been nights when I've done 50000 steps. And it always tracks them around the same time, between 3 and 4 am.
At first I was like, wow what is going on, am I sleep-walking, but no. I am sound asleep in my bed and there is no unusual activity on the sleep tracking side.
At this point I don't know what to do. I cannot trust any of the numbers, even the ones tracked when I am doing movement during the day. I am ready to toss it out and never buy a fitbit again.
Anyone had the same problem? How did you fix it?

Hi, thank you for all the details about the inconvenience you experienced with your Inspire 2, @Primavera_Toron.
If you're seeing steps recorded at night, there are a few reasons why this could happen. If you're sleeping close to something that could emit a certain vibration, like a window, a fan or other type of machine. The only way to negate these extra steps would be to manually log a driving activity, as this would override the data tracked during that time.
If you haven't done so already, please complete a restart procedure and let me know if you continue to experience the same behavior afterwards. The restart could also be useful with other issue you mentioned when the device is not tracking steps.
If you continue to have this problem with steps recorded at night, let me know if you have MobileTrack installed on the Fitbit app. This feature allows you to record basic stats such as steps using your phone's sensors. That being said, if there was a fan or something vibrating nearby, that might be the reason why you receive these extra amount of steps. Assuming this is correct, I'd recommend removing it by doing the following:
Thanks again for all the information provided. The team continues to work to improve the Fitbit experience and your feedback is a big part of that process.

Hi Davide!
I had already tried restarting my fitbit. Amd no, I don't sleep close to anything that emits vibration.
I just unpaired the Mobile Track. Will keep you oosted how it goes.
Thank you,
Pranvera

@Primavera_Toron Thanks for sharing this information!
Let me know if you continue to experience the same problem now that you've unpaired Mobile Track.
I'll be around in the Community.
